Qazi Mohammed was from a prominent Mahabad family and was one of the greatest Kurdish leaders of the 20th century, Qazi Mohammed was the essence of Kurdish pride. He served as a religious judge and was well known in the region as influential, intelligent political person, in 1945 he was recruited as a member of the Komala J-K which later he transformed to Kurdistan Democratic Party in Iran, that proclaimed the Kurdish Republic of Mahabad and he became the President of it til1946; He stood by his motherland when Iranian troops raided the republic, the republic lasted for less than a year.
As a result, the Shah of Iran hung Qazi Mohammed with his brother Sadr Qazi and their cousin Seyf Qazi.
